Real sessions. Real work.
An inside look at what we do each day.
Built on what care should actually look like.
We built Impulse to show Buffalo what genuine, professional physical therapy actually looks like. Not another clinic where you're booked three times a week for 30-minute slots, sharing your PT with two other patients, watching the clock from across the room.
Somewhere along the way, that became the accepted standard. We don't accept it. Honesty and accountability sit at the base of every session here. That's the Impulse Difference.
We find what's actually causing it
Pain at the knee usually starts somewhere else. We look at the whole picture and use objective data to confirm what we're seeing before building your plan.
Progress is measured, not estimated
You'll know exactly where your strength is, where it needs to be, and how far you've come. Discharge criteria are based on data, not guesswork.
Recovery doesn't stop between sessions
You have direct access to your PT throughout your care. Questions don't wait until your next appointment, and your program updates as you progress.
Same clinician, every single visit
The PT who evaluates you is the one who treats you, every session. No handoffs, no techs, no translating your history to someone new each week.
If you've already tried generic in-network PT and walked out wondering why you went, you already know what we're talking about.

Sports Physical Therapist
What patients ask us first.
What makes Impulse PT different from other physical therapy clinics in Buffalo?
Every visit is one hour, one-on-one with a board-certified sports physical therapist. No techs, no shared sessions, no rotating staff. The PT who evaluates you is the one who treats you start to finish. Progress is tracked with objective outcome data, not clinical gut-feel.
Is Impulse PT really the only board-certified sports PT in Western New York?
Yes. The Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) credential is the highest clinical designation in sports physical therapy, awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Impulse PT holds the only SCS in WNY.
Do you accept insurance?
Impulse PT operates outside the traditional insurance model in order to provide genuinely one-on-one care without the time and volume constraints insurance billing creates. Full pricing and availability are listed on our scheduling page.
